This past week featured a favorite QCA wedding related event - the Annual Friends of Vander Veer Bridal Bingo Night! We saw some of our brides and their entourages there, and we met some new folks as well!

This night was for all Bingo players - veteran and newbies.

The night was jam packed full of prizes, wine tastings, and not to mention bonding over Bingo! Prizes included luxury hotel packages, limo packages, cakes, veils, and huge gift certificates to many local wedding vendors!

Jami and I were delightfully given the ever so important job of calling the numbers.

Check out the line for the free wine tasting! These are my kinda ladies!

It was really, really, really hard for me not to sneak these cookies off of the prize table over to a corner where I could devour them inconspicuously. They looked yummy!

Look! We even had a groom or two sneak in to enjoy the fun!

Did you happen to notice all the cool mood lighting surrounding the room? That was provided by SAS DJs! Lots of people asked us about the lights, so make sure you give SAS a call if you're interested! You can find their contact info on their vendor page!
Here's a note from Jami about the event! -
"First of all, I want to thank Friends of Vander Veer for including QC Weddings in their event. Jen and I had a great time! And, what a turnout! If you missed it, you missed a HUGE event. There were so many fabulous prizes to win, from door prizes to the Grand Prize of a full wedding photography package! This was a fundraiser for Friends of Vander Veer and, let me tell you, the generousity of our community is just amazing. From the brides, grooms, families and friends that attended to the vendors that donated prizes, everyone really helped this organization plus had fun and won fabulous items to use for their weddings! I want to personally thank those QC Weddings vendors that responded to my direct call for help:
Clazzy Designs: Lynn Carr donated not 1, but 4 gift certificates for flowers and linens. Plus....she even took the certificates to the event personally after my call on what to do to get them there. Talk about going above and beyond!
Sas DJs: Randy Saskowski is another one that generously donated uplighting for a wedding. Plus, he even donated the uplighting to use for the event last night. I just uploaded photos on the Sas DJs vendor page. Check it out, it really adds to the ambiance of the evening!
RJS Productions: Ryan Gonzalez donated not only a certificate for DJ Services, but a free projector rental for slide shows for an event. Now a lucky couple will get to have a slide show for their guests to enjoy that they might not have had otherwise! That is quite the prize and truly appreciated!
There are other QC Weddings vendors that donated wonderful gifts as well! Check them out!
JJ's Keepsake Gardens: floral preservation of a wedding bouquet
John Talor Salon and Day Spa: gift basket full of products and certificates
Sara Lynn's Cakes: gift certificate for use toward a wedding cake, plus a door prize of a grooms cake
The Hotel Blackhawk: a night at the Hotel for two, plus an in-room massage for two
Those are the ones that I can think of, I might add a few over the next day or so when I remember any others.
I do want to give a bit of kudos to two other vendors that answered my direct call for help. They are not QCW vendors (right now anyway ;) ), but they really came through for me and for Friends of Vander Veer when called upon so I feel they should get a mention. Chelbel & Co. Cakes 'n More and Cameo Photography and Tanning donated wonderful prizes that really helped make the evening a success.
Thanks again!
~Jami"
All in all, we had an awesome time! The Friends of Vander Veer have been hosting this event for the past five years, and we are already looking forward to helping out next year! What a wonderful night to bond with your wedding party, play a good game, and win some amazing prizes!!!
