Check Us Out - Last Weekend's Wedding Max Bridal Show!

by Jenny Bryde 22. January 2011 04:38

If you had a chance to stop by our booth last weekend then you were a welcome guest in our temporary home!  It is an odd feeling when trying to decide how to decorate a booth that represents a virtual space such as our beloved website.  We decided to go with a cool green/purple/beige/white color scheme, and we brought in a lot of DIY elements such as paper flowers, upcycled picture frames, and vintage milk glass vases.

So if you stopped by, you got a dose of eye candy, but you ALSO were able to sign up for our drawing for $100 to be used towards any of our vendor partners, and a chance to register for our site so that you can make your own profile featuring details about your wedding and interact with other brides, grooms, and vendors on our message board!  And in the future we also have plans to add a ton of cool tools to help you plan your wedding such as an interactive budget planner! So congratulations to Ashley Hess who won our drawing for a $100 towards any of our vendors!  Cha ching!!

If you didn't have a chance to stop by or if you were in a hurry, you can always register here

Anyhoo, when we had a down moment, I went around and snapped some pictures of some of our vendors who were featured at the show.  Please excuse the sub-par quality of my pictures.  I blame it on the fact that instead of a real lunch, I ate many sugary cake samples as sustenance.  :)  There are more vendors who were there that I took pictures of but didn't turn out!  I'm sure you all who went met many of them!  Be sure to check out our vendor directory to see a complete listing of all of our vendors!

And Us!  Look at our cute little booth!  Here's Jami, our vendor relations director, helping someone to become registered on our site!

We got a lot of compliments on our handmade paper flowers.  Be on the look out for a tutorial on the blog here pretty soon!

All in all, it was a fantastic day!  We met lots of you, and we introduced a lot of brides and grooms to be to QCWeddings.com!  We look forward to hearing more about each of you, and you all should be looking forward to the site renovation and great new tools that are coming your way on QCWeddings.com!

We are also going to be having a booth set up at the upcoming Jaycee's Bridal Expo which will be on January 29th at the River Center in Davenport.  Be sure to stop by and say hello!  Remember that we will have an opportunity for all of our brides to pre-register for the show which means that we will PRE-PRINT labels for you so that you do not have to write your name a gazillion times while you sign up for all the fabulous give aways and information at all the different booths at the fair.  We can also print off labels for brides as they register at our site.  It only takes a minute to get signed up and printed out!  We also have adorable tote bags to give to the first 150 brides who pre-register or register at our booth.  We hope to see some of our registered brides and to meet all you brides and grooms who read our site and haven't signed!  Jami and I cannot wait to meet you!
