Not-So-New Year's Resolutions!

by Jenny Bryde 2. January 2010 11:02

Making resolutions on January 1st can be risky as many people abandon their promises to themselves within a month or so.

Because of this, I'm making my resolutions today, on January 2nd so that I may escape the fate of all those who make New Years Resolutions.

Today I want to make a resolution to my health, my wellness, and my work.  Here I go...

Health resolution:  This is a common one around the world, and I am no exception to the masses of people who could take better care of themselves.  Added to the incentives is the fact that our wedding is coming up this year, and we hope to start a family soon after.  I'd like to look my best on our big day, and I'd like to be at a physical peak if/when I become pregnant so that I can be healthy for mommyhood.  My goal is to trim down and tone up.  More water, less soda.  More walking, less lounging.  More carrots, less cookies.  You know the drill...  :)

Wellness resolution:  Maybe I should rename this resolution as the vanity/sanity resolution.  Vanity-wise, I would like to make sure that my skin becomes more healthy.  I need to be more conscious of the sun and hydration.  My sanity resolution is to be more organized.  With work, school, and our wedding in addition to all of life's little nuances, there are always a million details and to-do's floating around.  I plan to be more organized and proactive in completing tasks so that my mental wellness stays in tact...

Work resolution:  And this one's for you guys.  With this blog, QCWeddings.com has an amazing opportunity to disseminate information to our readers, and I'd like to boost the quality of local info that we include.  My resolution for this blog is to bring more regular interviews and information about local activities, venues, and vendors for brides.  I want to give out information that is relevant to QCA bride and grooms to be so that this blog is as helpful as it can be.  Stay tuned...
