On my hand sits a beautiful ring that my husband picked out for me...very classic, and I love it! I love it because my husband picked it out himself and because of what the ring represents, of course. Before my now-husband popped the question, we had had some conversations that were steering us towards the aisle, so naturally a girl has to be prepared, right? I ring window-shopped with the best of them, and had a pretty good sense of what my ideal ring would look like should my husband want input. He did actually end up trying to be sneaky and have a friend figure out what I wanted and then found his own spin off of that. It was perfect, and every time I look at my hand, I am reminded of what he means to me and how life is so...right.
Looking at my own engagement ring and wedding band, I started thinking about what others are wearing on their hands. I have a good friend whose husband proposed with the most beautiful turquoise ring that I have ever seen. It was original and totally them! She loves her ring as well.
